A Little About Me!
Photography for me began in seventh grade when my parents gave me my first camera for Christmas. From that moment on, I loved capturing memories. I started by photographing school sporting events, but everything shifted my sophomore year of high school when I joined the photography team at my church.
That is where my passion truly deepened. I was not just taking pictures. I was capturing moments of people encountering Jesus — worship, tears, joy, surrender. I began to understand that photography was about more than an image. It was about preserving what God was doing in the moment.
People would often tell me, “Kenzie, you always capture the moment so beautifully.” That encouragement is what sparked the name Captured Images.
During my freshman year of college in 2021, God placed a dream on my heart. By my senior year in 2024, that dream came to life through one step of faith. While pursuing my bachelor’s in biological sciences and my master’s in education, I had worked hard to stay debt free. Spending most of my savings on a professional camera felt risky.
But sitting in a coffee shop drive through with that camera in my cart, I felt the Lord say, “Just do it. I will provide.”
And He did.
Through photography, I was able to complete both degrees completely debt free. Although I did not pursue teaching in a traditional classroom, I now serve full time at Vibrant Church, the place where it all began. As part of the Next Gen lead team, I get to pour into the next generation each week.
Photography has also created space for ministry. Simple conversations have led to invitations to church, sharing the love of Jesus, and walking alongside others in meaningful seasons of life.
The Lord has allowed me to capture engagements, weddings, graduations, growing families, answered prayers, and so much more.
Jesus is the foundation of my life and the heart behind Captured Images.
